| The Texas Disaster Medical System (TDMS) is a newly created support function designed to facilitate the planning and activation of Emergency Medical Resources in times of critical need. TDMS is financially supported by Texas' Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and receives conceptual guidance and recommendations from a steering committee of subject matter experts from many different aspects of emergency care from across Texas.
